Expecting in Hungary – this Sunday

Birth Prep ClassesI am pleased to announce that the first installment of a 4-part series of childbirth education classes will be held this Sunday from 2 pm. This first class is entitled Expecting in Hungary. We will talk about prenatal care options in Hungary, public versus private hospitals, home births versus hospital births, how to choose a care provider, who is the védőnő and how can she help you, what routine procedures you can expect in Hungarian hospitals, what pediatric routines you can expect to be performed on your baby after birth, how to find a pediatrician, Hungarian vaccination schedules, how to register a birth in Hungary, what documents you will need, whether you are eligible for Hungarian maternity benefits, just to list a few!

Handouts: list of English-speaking obstetricians, list of hospitals in Budapest, list of registrars in Budapest, birth plan worksheet, registration and maternity benefits info sheet

When: Sunday, April 25th from 2 pm to 6 pm (2-hour presentation followed by Q&A)
