We were very happy to get to know Reka. We felt totally secure that whatever will happen during the birth there would be someone that was not directly involved but emphatic and who would help us. Our main concern was that the doctor would decide something – like a cesarian or a cut – that he wouldn’t discuss with us. With Reka we knew that we would not be alone in this stressful situation. For me it was also helpful to know that someone would be there for my husband – to tell him that everything went well and also that I wouldn’t be alone if he had to get out for some minutes. The thing my husband liked most that we could ask all our questions – also the silly ones – before and after the birth. Thus, Reka’s main support was in supporting us all the way through. We hired Reka as our doula for the birth of our son. She was INVALUABLE to us before labor, during labor, during delivery, and even after I delivered William. She not only helped me and Justin get through labor, she also helped communicate with the Hungarian nurses and doctors at Telki.
Today I wanted to get a picture of us when she stopped by for a post-partum visit at our house. She answered more questions we had about what to expect with William (he has some baby acne now) and we also just chatted. She’s wonderful!

I delivered at Telki and the delivery was good (as good as that can get) MOSTLY because we hired Reka to be our Doula. Telki has a natural birthing room and we did all kinds of stuff in there…I am convinced that she is the reason I had Rory so quickly. If she hadn’t been there to help me along I would have sat in my room and labored by myself as still as possible and would probably still be pregnant. What ever you choose to do I would definitely consider hiring her to help. I think her fee was 250 Euro and worth every penny.
